The long-established Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen has announced a special ‘Centennial Collection’ to commemorate its 100th anniversary in 2025. This collection reimagines three of the company’s iconic products with special designs inspired by the brand’s rich history.
Reflecting 100 Years of Design History
The Centennial Collection is described as a journey through the history of Bang & Olufsen’s design. Each product combines details that symbolize various past decades with contemporary craftsmanship.
- 1950s: Checkered speaker grilles from early radios
- 1970s: A vibrant color palette of ‘Century Red,’ ‘Chestnut Brown,’ and ‘Century Blue’
- 1980s: Brushed aluminum surfaces
- The last decade: Refined leather accents and precision-machined dials

- Beoplay H100 Headphones: In a ‘Century Brown’ finish with a ‘Century Red’ leather headband.
- Beosound A5 Portable Speaker: In a ‘Century Weave’ finish, featuring a beige and chestnut brown paper raffia weave and a ‘Century Red’ leather strap.
- Beosound A9 5th Gen Speaker: In a ‘Century Blue’ finish, with a distinctive ‘Centennial Cadence’ fabric grille from Kvadrat.
Each product is engraved with the ‘B&O Est. 1925’ anniversary logo and a tribute to the founders’ vision: “A never-failing will to create only the best.”
