Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems has announced the “Momentum Z Monoblock Amplifier,” a flagship monoblock power amplifier commemorating the company’s 15th anniversary. As the latest generation of the iconic Momentum series, this ambitious product is described as having “every element redesigned.”

Key Features

The Momentum Z Monoblock marks Dan D’Agostino’s first power amplifier to adopt a JFET (Junction Field-Effect Transistor) input stage. Compared to conventional bipolar transistor input stages, it achieves higher impedance and lower noise characteristics.

The output stage features an ultra-fast control stage ensuring instantaneous current delivery capability. Software-based real-time monitoring automatically optimizes bias.

Proprietary “Kinetic Drive Regulator” Technology

The power supply section features the company’s proprietary “Kinetic Drive Regulator.” This maintains constant voltage rails regardless of speaker load impedance variations or AC power instabilities. The design delivers stable driving power when paired with low-impedance speakers or speakers with complex impedance characteristics.

Industry-First Ethernet Connectivity

The Momentum Z Monoblock is the first Dan D’Agostino power amplifier to feature Ethernet connectivity. Through the RJ45 port, the amplifier can connect to a network for real-time remote monitoring of operational status. This feature allows dealers and users to remotely verify amplifier health.

Thermal Design

For heat dissipation, precision copper heatsinks machined using 5-axis CNC are employed. Each unit features heatsinks machined from 42-pound (approximately 19kg) copper billets, efficiently dissipating heat during high-power operation.

Exterior Design

The chassis inherits the sculptural design of solid aluminum and copper. The front panel features a 3.5-inch high-resolution LCD display, recreating the company’s iconic analog meter display with modern technology.
