Marantz has announced new models for its Reference home theater line: the “AV 30” 11.4-channel AV preamplifier and “AMP 30” 6-channel power amplifier. Positioned above the Cinema 30 AVR, this separates system enables more sophisticated home theater construction.

Flexible Channel Configuration
The AMP 30 operates as a basic 6-channel power amplifier but can also be used as 400W × 3 channels maximum in BTL (bridge-tied load) configuration. Bi-amp connection is also supported, allowing separate amplifier channels to drive the low and high frequencies of front speakers.
The slim, low-heat design facilitates AV rack installation. Multiple AMP 30 units can be combined for large-scale multi-channel systems.
System Integration
The AV 30 and AMP 30 can also be combined with existing AV 10 and AV 20 units. For Cinema 30 AVR users, adding an AMP 30 via pre-outs can enhance main channel driving power.
Dirac Live Options
The AV 30 comes standard with Audyssey MultEQ XT32 but supports optional Dirac Live. The following licenses can be added:
- Dirac Live Room Correction: Frequency response correction
- Dirac Live Bass Control: Subwoofer integration optimization
- Dirac Live ART (Active Room Treatment): Active room processing
These features enable advanced correction of room acoustic problems for more accurate playback environments.
