French high-end audio brand Focal has announced the addition of two new finishes, ‘Agate’ and ‘Ambre’ (Amber), to its flagship 4-way speaker, the Grande Utopia EM Evo.
Inspired by Gemstones
As their names suggest, these new finishes are inspired by the unique colors and textures of gemstones like agate and amber. Focal’s skilled craftsmen apply each layer of paint meticulously to create a deep luster and complex patterns.
- Agate: A mysterious beauty of agate, with a mixture of deep greens and browns.
- Ambre: A finish with a warm glow, characteristic of amber, with warm oranges and golds.
Fusing Acoustic Performance and Artistry
The Grande Utopia EM Evo is a reference speaker that brings together the best of Focal’s technology. It is equipped with a number of proprietary technologies, including a beryllium tweeter, a ‘W’ sandwich cone woofer, and an electromagnet (EM) woofer.
The addition of these new finishes reaffirms Focal’s philosophy of combining the best acoustic performance with an artistic design that harmonizes with any interior. This adds more options for owners to reflect their individuality, in addition to the existing black, white, and walnut finishes.
