Polish audio brand Ferrum, which has been rapidly gaining a reputation for its high-quality power supply units, will announce its first streaming bridge, the ‘Broen’, at the Warsaw Audio Video Show 2025. ‘Broen’ means ‘bridge’ in Danish, and as the name suggests, it is designed to be the ideal bridge between a Roon core and a USB DAC.
The Optimal Solution for Roon Users
The Broen is a Roon Ready endpoint optimized for Roon’s playback engine, the RAAT (Roon Advanced Audio Transport) protocol. Its main features are as follows:
- USB Audio Output: Equipped with one low-noise, high-quality USB audio output, it can be connected to a variety of USB DACs.
- Optimized Software: The OS and playback software are optimized to transmit audio signals from Roon losslessly.
- High-Quality Internal Power Supply: Incorporates Ferrum’s specialty, a high-quality power supply circuit, to provide clean and stable power.
- Ferrum Power Link Compatible: Further upgrades are possible by connecting it to the company’s external power supply unit, ‘HYPSOS’, with a proprietary ‘Ferrum Power Link (FPL)’ cable.
The Broen is a very attractive product for users who already own a high-performance USB DAC and want to build a simple, high-quality streaming environment using Roon. Expectations are high for the official announcement and its sound performance at the show.
