The rapidly acclaimed audio brand Eversolo has announced its new flagship D/A converter, the DAC-Z10. The DAC-Z10 is a multifunctional model that integrates a D/A converter, preamplifier, and headphone amplifier into a single unit.
Dual-Mono Configuration and Thoroughly Isolated Design
At its heart is a dual-mono configuration that employs two sets of AKM’s latest flagship DAC chips, the “AK4191” and “AK4499EX,” one for each channel. AKM’s proprietary “Velvet Sound” technology delivers a sound that is both highly accurate and musically warm.
Furthermore, Eversolo’s proprietary “Fully Isolated Architecture (FIA™)” physically separates the digital and analog circuits. Three independent toroidal transformer power supplies are used to thoroughly eliminate mutual interference.
High-Precision Volume Control and Clock Technology
For volume adjustment, instead of a typical digital attenuator, an independent R2R ladder-type volume control network is used for each channel. This prevents phase shifts and loss of resolution regardless of the volume level.
The clock circuit is equipped with an OCXO (Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator) boasting femtosecond-level accuracy. PLL jitter suppression and clock reconstruction technology by FPGA enable extremely accurate D/A conversion. It also supports external 10MHz and 25MHz master clock inputs.
Versatile Connectivity and Headphone Amplifier
Inputs include a wide range of digital options such as USB (supporting DSD512, PCM 768kHz/32bit), 2x coaxial, 2x optical, AES/EBU, and IIS. All inputs are isolated to prevent ground loop interference. Additionally, it features an HDMI ARC/eARC input for integration with home theater systems.
The built-in headphone amplifier boasts a maximum output of 1W into 16Ω and 32Ω loads and includes an automatic gain adjustment function.
