Austrian turntable manufacturer Pro-Ject has announced the “Debut Reference 10,” the new flagship model of its popular “Debut” series. The price is €1,199.
Inheriting Technology from Higher-End Models
The Debut series has earned a high reputation for offering authentic analog playback at an affordable price, but the new Debut Reference 10 was developed to transcend that framework, aiming for specifications and performance that approach the higher-end Xtension and RPM series.
Key Features
- 10-inch Carbon-Aluminum Tonearm: Equipped with a newly designed 10-inch long arm for this model. The lightweight and highly rigid composite material of carbon and aluminum delivers excellent tracking ability.
- Acrylic Platter: An acoustically inert acrylic material is used for the platter, contributing to stable rotation and clear sound.
- Diamond-Cut Aluminum Parts: High-precision diamond-cut aluminum is used for key drive system components such as the sub-platter and pulley.
- Height-Adjustable Damping Feet: Equipped with height-adjustable damping feet that effectively block external vibrations.
- True Balanced Compatible: Supports the “True Balanced” connection promoted by the company. When combined with a Pro-Ject phono equalizer, it enables transmission with extremely low noise.
- Pick it PRO Balanced Cartridge: A “Pick it PRO Balanced” MM cartridge, compatible with balanced connections, is pre-mounted.
- Electronic Speed Control: Accurately switch between 33 and 45 RPM speeds with the touch of a button (78 RPM is also available as an option).
The Debut Reference 10 will be a very attractive option for vinyl enthusiasts seeking authentic analog playback.
