Genelec Active Speaker Monitor Speaker Coaxial Driver New Product

Genelec unveiled its new flagship main monitor, the coaxial 3-way active monitor “8380A,” for the first time in Japan at “Inter BEE 2025,” which opened on November 19, 2025.

The “8380A” is part of “The Main One series” and features a thorough design that promotes “zero noise.”

Main Features

  • Newly Developed Coaxial Unit with Large Woofer: Features the newly developed “MDC (Minimum Diffraction Coaxial)” coaxial unit with a 125mm midrange and 25mm tweeter. Combined with the “DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide)” for directivity control, it achieves extremely accurate acoustic radiation. The woofer uses a large 15-inch (approximately 380mm) diameter driver.

  • Fanless Amplifier Module ‘RAM-L2’: The power amplifier module “RAM-L2” delivers 500W (Class D) for the woofer, 250W (Class D) for the midrange, and 200W (Class AB) for the tweeter, while achieving fanless operation. Self-generated noise is 0dB. The amplifier module is detachable from the speaker body and can be installed in an external rack.

  • Flexible Installation: Two bass reflex ports on the front allow for flush-mounting into walls. The enclosure material is MDF, available in black and white finishes.
