The X2 is the long-awaited first model featuring fully discrete DAC after years of research and development. The introduction of this new architecture marks a major milestone in LUMIN’s digital technology evolution.
An ambitious work aiming to achieve both engineering precision and musical warmth by integrating transport technology LUMIN has cultivated (established with U2X) with in-house designed D/A converter.
Discrete DAC Redesigned from Zero
The DAC redesigned from zero optimizes component placement and routing to reduce interference from other circuits. Channel separation is significantly improved. Furthermore, custom circuitry and power management suppress electrical noise and interference, ensuring stable operating environment.
Key Features of LUMIN X2
Dual-Mono Configuration with Dual FPGAs
Equipped with 2 ultra-low jitter femto clocks. Controlled by proprietary developed high-precision FPGAs, supplying high-precision clock signals to the DAC. Dual-monaural configuration realizes complete separation of left and right channels.
Latest Processor and Expandability
Equipped with latest processor, improving resampling flexibility through processor acceleration. Memory capacity also increased in preparation for future updates.
Fully Balanced Analog Output Design
Newly developed fully balanced analog output module. Features Lundahl output transformers, faithfully reproducing sound clarity and detail.
Dual-Transformer Power Supply Design
Adopts dual-transformer design with toroidal transformers for digital and analog circuits respectively. Equipped with low-noise linear regulators in dual-mono, stably supplying clean power to DAC stage.
Optical LAN Support
Features SFP port supporting optical LAN connection. Blocks network digital noise. Additionally, dual LAN ports enable connection to external devices like NAS.
CNC Machined Aluminum Chassis
Both main unit and power unit adopt CNC machined aluminum chassis, ensuring high rigidity and damping.
LEEDH PROCESSING Integration
Features LEEDH PROCESSING DIGITAL VOLUME CONTROL, minimizing sound quality degradation from digital volume control.
